The grandchildren are all sick. Nothing like a birthday to bring everyone together and share some germs.
You know having your grandchild in the house with you is different in every way, but when they are sick it's even more so.
The Princess has been throwing up. Now when you think of a cute baby girl who is only one year old throwing up I know you picture a little spit up. No! Rethink that. This is Niagara Falls spewing from this child's face. Eww! Then you have to bath the baby, wash everything, steam clean the carpet(This is where the super clean freak husband and son come in. No one can clean the carpets like they can. You are right guys please do it for us you know we are not worthy of touching that machine. Wink wink.)
When she is finished spewing she wants me. Maybe she just feels calmer with me. Mom is freaking out a little first baby looking evil and spewing every where is a little nerve wracking.
I had to leave her this morning so I could go to work, she was wanting to go with me. That is the part I can't handle.
We took the grandsons who are also sick some Gatorade, soup, apples, plums and grapes. One of the soups my husband bought for them was a chicken soup with Cars shaped pasta. After they ate was when the puking started at their house. Christopher was throwing up chunks of cars. Very funny. Unless you are the one throwing up or cleaning up I guess. That is where it comes in handy not living in the same house with them.
My son got up this morning running a low temp and having a cough and runny nose. The good news is that sounds like a head cold not the swine flu, which by the way for some reason known only to a 12 year old boy he said last week "I wish I could get the Swine Flu", What? "Well then I could stay home from school". Being the type of Mom that I am I think I will use this cold to say something along the lines of Wow you wished for Swine Flu and look you got sick, you better not ever wish that one of us would just die so we would leave you alone.
Happy Birthday William!
