Wednesday

• One of my granddaughters is staying with us, we have been taking turns with the grand kids and she got there last night.
• I went for a small ride on the motorcycle last night. A friend kept encouraging me to get back on and we made a deal that I would try it Tuesday night and then check in with her Wednesday morning to let her know how it went. It went pretty well slightly nervous at the beginning and then a little more relaxed, towards the end I started feeling quite nervous so I knew we needed to head home.
• I received my ring yesterday that I ordered from a friend who sells Park Lane. I love their jewelry and the parties are so much fun. The jewelry is very inexpensive if you host a party like I did.
• A friend came in telling me about a workout that she tried, Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. So we made an agreement to do it at the same time. So last night I went and bout the video and this morning I was about to keel over dead in the living room. That 20 minute workout kicked my butt so bad. I highly recommend this, if you stick with it I just can't see any chance of not getting in shape. I will keep you posted on the progress.
• I went to my daughter's house last night, knocked on the door and no one came. Opened the door and said "Anybody home?" Walked through the dining room got the kitchen and said "Anyone home?" The princess said YEP I in bath. Too cute. We ended up outside while Scott watered their flowers they just planted and the Princess playing in the water. Oops probably needs to be rinsed off again.
• Some of my family that I haven't seen in a long time, a very long time, like I have seen them 4 maybe 5 times in the past 6 years. Only for a few minutes at a time. Prior to that we were extremely close, contacted me and said I want to try to get things back the way they were is there any chance? I consider myself to be very forgiving and I can't turn my back on anyone who says I am sorry I made a mistake and I want to fix it. If they are genuinely going to work to fix it. On the other hand, putting yourself in the position to be hurt again is very difficult. I am really wrestling with not being to guarded. They came to dinner Monday night. It was a spur of the moment thing but I think it went well. Maybe it worked better that way, no big build up to the visit and just a short window of time. We have missed out a lot on each other's lives. I will keep you posted on this too.

Weekend

I had a good weekend. Friday my daughter and I went to do a little shopping and had lunch at Red Lobster and then went to the movies. We saw Toy Story 3 it was good, very funny. We had an awesome time. I love Red Lobster. Hanging out with my daughter is always fun.
Saturday I had the Princess all day. She is a lot of work but always a blast. My cousin stopped by on Saturday but I didn't get to visit with him, hopefully he will come by again soon. I washed my dogs, they needed it.
Sunday I fixed pancakes and sausage for everyone for breakfast and then the kids went to Casey's house to help with yard work, Scott went on a ride on the bike and I was able to do absolutely nothing, read some of my book and just hung out. My brother stopped by Sunday afternoon, that is always nice.

Wednesday's Randomness

• Christopher is home from the hospital.
• Presley has new medicine, so hopefully she will be feeling better.
• I am going to spend the day with Brock and Karley on Friday, I think maybe we will go to the movies.
• Tomorrow is my Friday and after having so many days off last weekend I am ready for days off this week. Taking to many days makes me not want to come back.
• Scott and I went out to dinner last night, I love Catfish O'Harlies.
• The kids went with the neighbor and went to Casa Torres. Another great selection.
• My leg still hurts, it has been 5 weeks. The doctor said 6 weeks. I guess he wasn't kidding.
• My neighbor has surgery tomorrow. I will need to check in on her. I have the best neighbors. I took dinner to the older couple next door on Monday, she called to thank me yesterday and said her husband ate all the dessert before she got home. I took her another piece of cake last night. He wanted that one too. lol.
• My Mother's cat still lives with me, she stays outside most of the time, only starts coming inside when it's cold out. I saw her on the back porch rail this morning. I was excited hey Melly you are still here.
• Scott packed my lunch the past 2 days there is enough food in there to feed 3 of me. I appreciate his thoughtfulness but I will only be gone a few hours and I am still near civilization.

Weekend

• Friday I went to go get a new phone, I didn't find one I really wanted but I need to get a new one so there was one I could live with however they did not have it in stock. I am, at this point thinking I can just go online or to another store no big deal. The salesman offers to run to another store to pick one up. Now I know me and I know that if I don't just love something I really don't like buying it, but I said okay. So here he goes off to the other store meanwhile I am still looking at the other phones and talking to the other salesman etc. Now remember this phone he went to get is not the one I really want I am settling for this one. So 15 minutes later here he is back with the phone and ringing it up and Scott is looking on the website and finds the one I really want and it has to be ordered on line. Now I don't want to settle for this phone so I ask Can we cancel the transaction and I am really sorry? We can cancel the transaction but this is the first time we have ever had to do this and no one knows how.... I am so sorry, I really am very sorry. 15 minutes later I leave the store.....fast forward what ever he did at that time changed the settings on my account to where not only can I not send or receive text messaging I also can't order the new phone one line. ugh. I will be calling today to have everything returned to the way it was and hopefully I can order the phone this evening.
• Saturday we all went to the water park, what great timing Holiday weekend and a chance of rain, the day was wonderful not too crowded and the kids had a great time. We all had a really good day. Late that afternoon I noticed a cut on Christopher's foot between his toes it looked weird. He said he cut it at his house last week.
• Sunday Christopher is in the hospital for an infection in that cut. Turns out there is some kind of staph infection that can live even in chlorinated water. His foot is swelled all the way to the ankle. Hopefully he gets out of the hospital today.
• Monday we had a cook out at the house that was a lot of fun although Christopher and his parents couldn't be there. Then the Princess fell off the porch..... she is okay just bumps and bruises. What an eventful weekend.

Time Flies

Lately I have really been noticing how fast the time goes. My grandchildren are all getting older. My family what's left of them are all getting older, I am getting older. Have I done everything I wanted to do? Will I have regrets?

I am very lucky to have so many kids and grand kids. They make me happy in a way I can't describe. Scott is a wonderful husband. I know every day life gets in the way and I don't always tell him how lucky I am to have him but I try and I hope he knows.

I have colored my hair since I was 17 and I decided to stop doing that about a month ago. Ugh it's hard, all of my hair is gray so now I have these awful roots. Possibly worse than dark roots if that is possible.

We are having the grand kids take turns staying with us this year. We had a 9 year old girl last week, this week an 8 year old boy. I love having them I get to know them in a different way. It makes me wish I didn't have to work so I could spend more time with them.

The Princess had surgery to put tubes in her ears last week. It went well, she won't stop talking now.

We are all going to the water park this Saturday I am really excited about that. This will be the first time for the Princess. Last time Korbin did a suicide jump into the deep water hopefully no one attempts that this trip. Casey had to save him. He said Sasey saved my life.

Casey is gong to do a rent to own on my rent house. I bought that house when she was 12 now it will be hers, my Mom's house is now mine. I like that we keep those connections to the past.

I have been going through the garage some more, tons of work but very satisfying. We are almost done with the main part I think just 2 more working days. Then we start on the back 3 storage areas. I got a quote to have the new garage built. The hard part will be tearing down the old one. Hard physically and emotionally. I am going to save the wood though I want to make some furniture. It is probably about 80 years old, maybe?

Update

The trip out to New Mexico was very nice, we got to Ruidoso on Saturday night and Sunday we went exploring riding up in the mountains and looking around town. We decided to take a trip to Cloudcroft and Alamogordo on Monday.

We went to breakfast and had a wonderful meal went sight seeing a little bit there in Ruidoso and then headed out for Cloudcroft. Only a few miles out of town an 18 wheeler that was going to turn stopped in the road instead because a pickup was coming up on the shoulder of the road beside him.

Scott tried to stop we started sliding towards the back of the truck and swerved before hitting it. The back of the back laid over and we were sliding down and across the highway.

Scott's left leg came off his peg and and slammed my leg between him and the bike, that popped the bike back upright and Scott was able to get control and get us stopped on the side of the road.

It felt like my leg was broken. It was so painful, took a trip to the Emergency Room and had X-Rays done they said it wasn't broken gave me crutches and pain pills. The rest of the trip I spent in pain, hopped up on pain pills and terrified to ride the bike, which by the way I had no choice in since that is how we got to New Mexico.

The trip home was the worst I was scared to death and in a tremendous amount of pain.

I have not been back on the back since we got home. I don't know that I will ever get back on, I am just so afraid.

It has been 3 weeks and my leg is still bruised and I still have quite a bit of pain. I went for a follow up with my doctor and he did X-Rays it is not broken but he said I have a deep bone bruise and it will take up to 6 weeks for it to feel back to normal.
