Father's Day

My Dad passed away when I was 13. I have some memories since I was older but I don't have any memories of Father's Day. The only perspective I have on Father's Day is from my children with their Father or as the wife to the Father in Law. My kids and I are taking my son in law my husband and hopefully my father in law to Red Lobster to eat on Sunday and the girls are making their Dad a cake (golf themed of course). Did my Dad like seafood? I know he liked catfish, I remember him catching and cleaning a lot of them.
My dad loved to go fishing and camping. I mean loved it. He died while out at the lake fishing. I wish I had known him better been able to have a relationship as an adult with him. My life would have been a lot different, better/ worse who knows. I know different for sure.
I watch my husband with our kids. I don't always agree with how he does things but I know that he loves them and he is a great father. A lot more hands on than any other man I know. I hope that our children know him as a person not just a Daddy.
